Today was the last day of the 14-day drawing challenge with Opposites Attracts featuring dragons. I decided to try to mix a lot of the new things I have been experimenting with, like brushes, light and contrasts. I wanted this to be a darker illustration, and immediately knew I wanted to draw a dragon on top of a castle, and the rest of the illustration came after that. I wanted it to have a lot of sharp rocks, and featuring two wyvern dragons, which makes it harder for them to climb and fly. I wanted it to have an epic kind of feeling, and looked up some images featuring sharp rocks, dragons and castles. You can see some below the progress video.
I think this challenge was interesting, even though I got very short on time some days and that resulted in different quality in the images. Like I mentioned to Jonathan, I just moved in, and there is always some errands that has to be done when you move. However it is fun to look back at the collection of dragon images I have now.
