I wanted this piece to have a "concept art" kind of style; rough lines, and rougher colours. It has been a while since I have drawn anything in this style, but it is always fun to shake it up a bit. I immediately knew I wanted to build on to the bug-dragon theme I spoke about earlier, and then it made sense to match that up with a bigger dragon.
The big dragon is inspired by the wyvern kind of dragon, and of course inspired by Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim which I showed images of earlier. I also looked up images like the ones underneath to get the right feel for this kind of dragon. I wanted him to be scary, but sweet.
