I wanted to do more featuring Peregrine, adding him a bit more to the gang. I felt like him and Pepper could have a romance going on, but that Pepper has a crush on Peregrine. Pepper seems like a very confident, silly person, very spontanious and doesnt think twice about things, however around Peregrine I imagine she would be self concious and shy.
I like the idea that Peregrine is a literal peregrine, and transforms into a human. He has the red marks because his bare skin gets irritated without the feathers. He plays the flute to keep communication with his bird friends, and to keep the song close to his heart. And he prefers being a bird during the very hot and very cold seasons, but prefers being a human during the spring and fall times. This scene I drev is of Peregrine saying goodbye to Pepper, since winter is approaching. He has to leave, but can't totally explain why. He says he'll be back in spring. Would you believe him? I'm not so sure. And Pepper doesnt look sure either.
Experimenting with winterclothes for witches was a lot of fun, I love the furcoated hat and matching jacket-thing she has. I wanted the season to be very much between the fall and winter, perhaps the day before the snow comes in.
I drew a sketch of Peregrine in his true form, with Philbert as scale. So, he isn't just a falcon, he is a giant falcon. Perhaps a legendary older beast. I want him to be seen in backgrounds of some shots, paying attention to his friend group and making sure they are safe.
