Breathe

This is a sketch that I ended up liking too much to abandon.

This painting shows a girl standing on tiptoes as the seagulls fly past her near shore. This painting was just a warm up sketch I did, but while I look over all my work I cannot exclude this sketch. It shows a girl longing to fly off. The colours in this painting work together beautifully and creates a good dynamics between cold and warm colours. I could consider creating this peace in a bigger way, but I also like how small it is, and how loose the strokes are.
